Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is pretty charming

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

What Would Lyndon Johnson Do? (Domestic edition) He won, so, basically, not take any crap. Although he would play it friendly and have the barbecue at the ranch first. (It's funny and sad that I read all those giant Caro books, and basically? It all comes down to this sentence and a half. Minus some cool stories and some unsubstantiated claims about ballot stuffing with a local Latino crime boss, "everything else is commentary") I am also sad that they obsolesced my Kindle...huge books like that are what e-readers are made for.

Hil: Kind of expected Poindexter to wear big Milhouse glasses. If he had Lasik, it will be like we have a private joke.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil: Kind of expected Poindexter to wear big Milhouse glasses. If he had Lasik, it will be like we have a private joke.

All of his ads talk about how he's a union ironworker, and he looks the part. Also, he beat Max Miller, who is absolute scum.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And I do understand his caution. It is kind of crazy to want 2 surgeries within 3 months of each other.

I understand his reluctance too. We think of surgery as being localized to the area that they're working on. But it really affects the whole body. The whole body suffers a kind of shock at the invasive nature of surgery. It's a lot to put on your system.

It's blue skies and gorgeous in SF yesterday and today. I went downtown to do some bloodwork, came out and grabbed a burger (because I had to fast beforehand) and as I'm sitting down I hear a brass band start up. It's the Valkyries victory parade. Suddenly downtown is flooded with a sea of lilac jerseys.

Let me tell, you San Francisco was in a very good mood yesterday.

I feel like I should become a fan of the Valkyries, I like their uniforms and their mascot and, hey, championship win! But I've never followed basketball so it would be a steep learning curve. I don't even know when the season runs.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

Salon Magazine is shutting down. The progenitor of the Buffistas.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
