Stop means no. And no means no. So . . . stop.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That does seem like a "why not both?" situation, without knowing more detail

Just saw your Beep Me, Sophia! I bet you could rock a turban

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sophia, I'll just note that JZ didn't ask me to cut her hair short until the chemo made it brittle and unhealthy. But it never fell out in clumps though it did get pretty thin in places. You might just want to try a short haircut and see how it goes with the chemo.

She didn't wind up wearing a lot of hats, though I do know people who opted for super soft cashmere knitted caps. It will be cold up there.

Peltola is up by +0.29 with 75% of the vote counted.

I know that sounds like an incredibly slim lead but Colom is up by <0.1 in Mississippi with 95% of the vote in. Also Mississippi doesn't do recounts.

It would be astonishing to win both of those, but I'm already very astonished.

I’ve started Salty Pirates

I read that as Salty Pilates because of the gym talk and was very intrigued!

What a glorious night last night and day today it's been.

Sophia -- when I got mine shaved, I tried a wig, and just could NOT with how it felt on my head (I have to cut out tags from shirts, etc., so...), so I ended up with a pretty cool scarf collection. I never got too fancy with the styling of the scarves, but I bet there are some awesome video tutorials out these days for head scarf-ing. And I echo what dcp says about staying ahead of the nausea; I learned that even when I felt fine, it came on quick, so I never skipped preventative meds after that. Am and will continue sending you all of the good vibes.

Note that they will include anti-nausea drugs with your chemo. JZ had a bad reaction to her first round if chemo but they upped her anti-nausea drugs and it was tolerable after that.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

Hec, it might happen. Hyde-Smith is a bad campaigner because she hasn't done it that much and MSNOW said last night that many of the outstanding votes come from Colom's hometown and surrounding areas.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I remember reading somewhere that anything over 25% turnout is high for most US elections so 30-50% sounds about right for a big midterm like this.

Flipping Texas and Kansas is already historic, it's hard to believe Alaska and Mississippi could be within reach!!
