It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Need some help with color perception.

Lately, the morning glories in the pot on my little balcony have been this color: [link] In conversation at lunch yesterday, I showed that picture and called the color blue. I was told no, that's purple.

Most of the morning glories this year have been this color: [link] I called that color magenta, and was told no, that's red.

I am confused.

What color do those blossoms look to you?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I wouldn't say any of these assessments were wrong, since people perceive things differently. For me, I would say the first one is near that line between purple and blue. I might call it a blue violet. The 2nd one is very pinky magenta around the edges and redder in the darker areas and along the veins/seams.

Thrive to spite them

I woild call the first one blue since it's more on the bluer end of purple. The second is pink. I guess magenta but I would say pink .

I'm back at work and walked in and was sent straight to digital for picking since there was almost 400 items.

And walmart radio keeps playing songs I like when I can't hear them well and songs I don't like when I can . Or songs like tbe Jeff Buckley one that just played that I like but not this live version at work because it kind of goes on and he has this wailing he does, which would normally be fine, but after hearing multiple kids cry in one day it gets to be a little much.

I really should submit some requests and see if they get played

Thanks to everyone for all the birthday happies! I was feeling kinda crummy for a couple days and then migrainey for a couple more so I wasn't looking at screens more than I had to. It was lovey to open the tab today to all the well wishes.

Oh no and it said he had a "brief and poignant journey" with Lewy Body Dementia and Alzheimer's.

I was so sad to read that. I think given how recently he was on TV it must have been relatively brief, but that's so hard for everyone involved.

It must have been a remarkable experience to see him perform live.

In the final monologue when Prospero gives up his art he waved his hand at the booth and they cut his mic... his voice carried perfectly through the amphitheater, clear as a bell. Goosebumps.

That's magical.
