Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's pretty dang cool, Debet! I mostly know about the Nene from their appearance in crossword puzzles. I hope they are less aggressive than, say, Canada Geese...

Bummer on the rental and the weather, askye. I hope the staycation gets better as it goes on.

Makes sense to start seeing about swapping out the hip, Tep, if stopping the NSAIDS is that debilitating you probably aren't doing yourself any favors walking around with he pain masked!

We were supposed to have a department lunch today to celebrate October birthdays, but Panda Express canceled our order at the last minute so now I have to figure out my own lunch again. I only saw the email that we'd have lunch after I was in the office so it is not really a big inconvenience for me but my co-worker who was trying to organize all this is pissed. We'll try again next week, I guess.

It's actually been a really hard year, when you stop and do the math. Eliot would cry, too, if it didn't take him seventy minutes of therapy, two cocktails, and a Sondheim medley before he can experience a human emotion through the haze of his PTSD.

Everything is healing very well, and the surgeon's PA said that clinically there should be no problem getting my hip replaced in December! They'll take x-rays again in early December to be totally sure, but it looks like it's a go on their end. So now I need to meet with the orthopedic surgeon (who will be a totally different ortho guy than the dick that I initially saw).

Yeah, it feels crazy to have 2 surgeries in 3 months, but my hip pain is so fucking bad. And since we hit the out of pocket maximum, we should exploit it!

This too shall pass.

Woot! Get all the shiny new parts!

Thrive to spite them

Exploit the out of pocket maximum!!

I'm glad you don't have Dick ortho surgeon to deal with.

So far staycation hasn't been too different from a regular days off. I did crack open a Jennifer Cruise novel I picked up for $1 and was planning on taking to the beach and I was immediately swept into it. I also organized some of my books and haven't done too much else but I feel a little more relaxed. I still have to get blood drawn and some other stuff and I think that will be tomorrow. I dunno.
