Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place.
Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh yeah, they will really hammer you with penalties when you don't hand over payroll withholdings.
We've had a couple nights that dipped below freezing, but not enough to freeze my water pipes. Still, we do need to get our ducks in a row to get out of here before end of month. Need to be home to vote. Head is still annoying, but not terrible.
Hahaha migraine why oh why? I now have a pattern of a migraine a week. I’ve found a neurologist who is a migraine specialist, but he has his own office and doesn’t take insurance, so once I get an appointment, I’ll have to deal with getting my insurance to reimburse me.
I’m curious to see if I get any migraines when I’m in California at the end of the month. Yes, my anniversary present from P. is traveling to see two MCR concerts.
I once went into a taco restaurant I'm quite sure was a money laundering operation. Empty place, one guy working there who didn't know how to work the register, not-good taco fixings spooned out of a lukewarm chafing dish and no sign of anything being cooked in the kitchen. I suppose I should be glad I didn't get food poisoning from it.
There was a liquor store next to a theatre I used to work at here that we nick named the Russian Mafia Liquor Store because we were convinced it was a front.
It's still there. In fact the big condos that were build had to leave out one corner of the lot when they built so that this never busy store could remain.
We tried a few times to go to a Russian restaurant that was never open. Still not sure if it was, like, unlucky like me, or a front.
still haven't had Russian food, though.
There was a clothing store (men’s weird suits) and a photo lab back in college that we all swore were clearly fronts for something.
I took today off work and am flying to DC to see friends and then the USWNT play Spain. But I still woke up at the usual time because my friend is coming to get my dog at some point soon and I needed to be awake.
Atropa I also get about a migraine a week sometimes (seasonal or something, no clue) but thankfully my meds work promptly and I usually feel mostly fine within a couple hours.
I ended up getting the Hep B second dose and pneumonia vax but not the RSV because my insurance doesn't cover it. Arm isn't even sore.
The big news from my corner of the world is: Mom was cleared by her PT to go up and down stairs on her own! Now all she needs me for is things like opening pill bottles and tossing salads, she just can't grip anything with her right hand the way the splint is between her thumb and fingers. Post-op follow-up on Monday.
High today is only supposed to be 76F so that'll be nice
I'm apparently now the kind of person who goes to the gym three times a week. If only this personality transplant had happened in my 20s I might have a teeny bit of core strength by now. (I feel really good about the progress I'm making everywhere else but I literally cannot do one single sit-up.)
It is good to hear that your mom is recovering so well, -t.
Go Jess! I've been a slug after going to the gym regularly for months. Need to get back to it.
