"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I feel almost like an Emu on Red Bull today, running around like a maniac dealing with all the emails, texts and calls.

I just got confirmation that the wire transfer deposit into Escrow went through. So that's the main thing had to happen today.

{exhale}

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So here's a wild thing that Jilli especially will appreciate.
"Ted Naifeh"

Ha! I haven't thought of him and his work in ages. I should look up what he's done recently.

Yikes, -t! I'm glad she's as okay as she can be.

David, that place is gorgeous. Congrats on having the offer accepted! I know how stressful that is in the Sea-Tac area, I can only imagine how much worse it is in SF.

Our wings are not tired.

the reason I went into menopause (early!) was hysterectomy

My mom and both my sisters had hysterectomies, so no history of how my menopause would go, but really it wasn't bad, and early enough at 47.

Dad’s trainer/handyman said he could patch the hole, Mom said she wants it framed or with a plaque or something, so y’all are vindicated in those suggestions!

Ha!

Going to spend the weekend with my aunt at the beach this weekend.

Enjoy, Jen!

The entire buying/selling houses process is so stressful. Calm and smooth transaction ~ma to you and Emmett.

That which does not kill you should RUN

In my search for popsicles (without glass) I found out that the grocery store has a box of 12 bomb pop popsicles for $3.50. We live in a golden age.

This takes me back to the days of mom making ice cube trays with Kool-Aid in them, then she upgraded to a metal container thing that made popsicles that we would fill with Kool-Aid with sticks in them.

Whining: I still feel fatigued-to-exhausted a week after the trip to the ER for the migraine, which seems kinda WTF. To add an extra layer of frustration, it turns out that the actual MD neurologist at the office that does my Botox doesn't deal with migraines. They're a movement disorder specialist. So I need to find a neurologist.

Hec, what a beautiful place! I'm so glad you could make all of that happen!

The universe seems to have it in for me right now and I'm exhausted by it. My business is in a very tough spot right now. We've had a few projects either not use us, or cancel on short notice which means that money is a mess. On top of that there is a lawsuit against one of the big clients that we work for and it has named not just the big client but a whole laundry list pretty much all the companies that touched the project. The lawsuit shouldn't impact us in the long run, but in the near term I still need to make sure I'm on top of it which means legal expenses that I just don't need to incur right now.

Sorry to dump, I'm just so over this year already.

Jesus, ND, that sounds beyond stressful. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with so much at once.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, Noise, that is terrible!

Mom’s thumb is not fractured, hooray! And the dr thinks her nausea is that thing where the bits inside ears aren’t where they are supposed to be, not concussion. PT doesn’t want her to go home yet, maybe tomorrow.

Meanwhile my dad went to do his usual Thursday Kiwanis thing, which is good, but he left at 11 and only a few minutes ago left the clubhouse and he went to their house so who knows when he will get back here. Which only really matters because I am supposed to go pick up the Rosh Hoshanah meal mom ordered so I was waiting for that to figure out lunch and I am STARVING. I might need to go find a cafeteria or vending machine or something.
