Yeah, I’m not worried about pain; I’m just tired of shitty things happening.
Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Bah, Tep. Mine has been scheduled for 6/1, hopefully that will actually happen.
Well, that fucking sucked and I am all out of coping mechanisms. I should watch something funny, but Young Frankenstein isn’t streaming. Recommendations for something very funny, please?
Oh, man, I hope you found something. My mind is completely blank. Oh, Josh Johnson’s HBO special just dropped, I haven’t seen it but he’s funny. Or you could watch him on YouTube
Oh, I do want to watch Josh Johnson’s special, but we went with Ghostbusters 1984.
I also bought the DVD of Young Frankenstein, and it’ll be here tomorrow.
Nice
I had a nice lunch with my uncle, and a nice dinner with my aunt. I can have dinner with my cousin and his wife, and with her high school friends, and maybe with Katie and Maria and my friends in the village? That seems simpler.
That sounds perfect.
Good day, all! I've been lazing catching up on the archives of the puzzles missed on the road, but I need to finish this coffee and get in the pool before it is too hot. Very windy today so hoping it won't be too bad. I know I could just go to the air-conditioned gym, but swimming is much more pleasant.
Laura, I am envious of your weather, because it will not stop raining here. It's rained for 2 or 3 days now, and is supposed to rain through Wednesday. Soon we will all be traveling by canoe.
We got grocery delivery yesterday, and it included a small carrot cake that was not in our order (we weren't charged for it; sometimes these things just happen with delivery). I can't eat it because gluten (which is sad, because carrot cake is one of my favorites) and Tim is avoiding sugar as much as possible. The food pantry in our neighborhood has a free fridge on the porch so people can drop off/pick up food even when the food pantry itself isn't open, so we dropped the cake off at the free fridge, and I hope it lifts someone's spirits.
I think I have been productive enough today, at least for a rainy Sunday of a holiday weekend: made the bed, baked muffins for the week, hard-boiled eggs for the week, cut and rinsed the strawberries, washed the dishes, and washed a load of clothes. I'll go hop on the bike for a bit and then I think the rest of the day can be devoted to shiftlessness.
Carrot cake will indeed be a delightful surprise for someone.
