Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That is so fucking awesome! The closest I came to that was the year I made a red velvet lamb cake frosted white, so no one expected red cake. But the jam in this one is fabulous!
I didn’t make a lamb cake this year because I was too lazy to deal with the frosting. Instead I made the cake known as “cinnamon roll cake,” which is so fucking good: [link]
We have leftovers and I plan to eat some for breakfast (I started prednisone for the weird arm/hand nerve pain, and the steroid munchies are no joke).

Ha! ita would be proud.
Hello. Still alive, still tired, still seething at the government.
Also, it's spring here!
Unlike Christ, our hot cross buns failed to rise. This is deeply funny to me for some reason, but it's been a long, long, long Holy Week.
(But now I have a FULL WEEK before I go to church again.)
Ah, Monday Monday. On my 2nd cup of coffee. We'll see what the day brings.
Today is Amy's birthday. I feel like I have seen her pop in here sometime recently, but that could be my imagination. Sending warm birthday wishes her way.
Happy Amy day!
Home again after cataract surgery 1 of 2.
All went well, I think. Time will tell.
The experience was less scary and/or traumatic than the dentist.
Thank you, Versed!
Yay! I wasn't fond of the process, but being able to see is super awesome.
Yay cataract surgery! I have not had the cataract removed part but did have the “new lens with magic vision” part, and it felt much better after a couple days and has been miraculous ever since. When is #2 scheduled?
Shir, thought of you lots at the seder I went to Saturday. (Wherein I was shocked my friend’s step kids did not kill him—he started many years ago using a Haggadah that is for kids, when they were new to this and younger, but they’re now 14 and 14 and 16, and he’s still using that one and I would’ve been so much less polite than they were, at that age, being talked to like I was about 8 years old…)
