Went to the kosher supermarket on Monday to get Passover things. Good grief they were expensive.(Trying to keep Mr. S from eating the stuff we got for him before Passover starts is always a challenge. Kid is always hungry.)

I finally got through only to find out that the medical supply company called the wrong people the other day. So now I’m on the phone with them again. Somebody send gin or ice cream or something.
Everything to do with that is a giant fucking nightmare, if I might lapse into political jargon, sj. Wish I could *help* but I feel you on it. Nilly! Shir! Just cause I read what you said and didn't write back.
Thanks, erika. I know you know the pain. I am now on another interminable hold trying to get the company to send me some samples. So, I don’t die or anything.
TCG and ltc are at karate. They have been informed not to come home without ice cream.
I don’t know if it was the power of the buffistas or a guardian angel or what. But while I was on hold earlier today I filled out a form for another supply company, and just now the most efficient, kind person called me back, and she is sending me a box of supplies to tide me over while she deals with setting up a new account for me and contacting my insurance and doctor, and I immediately burst into tears and now I can breathe again.

God, sj, that sounds like the worst. K has been going round and round with a specialty pharmacy and her doctor’s office. Pharmacy won’t ship until K has appointment for the injection. Dr.’s office won’t make an appointment until the meds arrive. US healthcare remains bonkers.
Spring break starts now for me. Noah has been home from college for spring break but goes back Saturday. Grace’s spring break doesn’t start until after Easter. It’s hard to coordinate anything.
The US healthcare system is horrific. Cool to spend billions on senseless wars, but leave our health in the hands of profit-making centers.

These situations always make me feel for the countless who don't have the strength and perseverance to jump through all the hoops in this cruel system.
