Boo, I hate all that for you, too, Atropa
I just had a call with one of our salespeople who is still here, and she pointed out that Sales was untouched in the January re-org because they had just gotten a new VP so I guess they are just catching up now with the workforce reduction. I am extremely tired of always being in transition, though, I tell you what.
Ja-mie Tartt doo-doo-doo-doo-de-doo
Hahaha this was also in my head before I read what you wrote
Jess, I would 100% have the same mind blip as you (she says, as she ducks off work reading AO3)
Well, phui!
Last week I ordered my regular monthly refill of the pills I take daily to keep my cancer suppressed.
Yesterday I got the "Your package was delivered to your mailbox" email notification. It wasn't there.
Today I was able to be at the mailboxes when the carrier was delivering today's mail. I asked if we could check whether my package was in one of my neighbor's mailboxes, delivered there by mistake. It wasn't there.
No neighbor has come by saying, "Hey, I've got your package."
I went to the USPS web site to report missing mail, but the form has this disclaimer: "...the Mail Recovery Center cannot search for or return the following items:...Prescription Drugs...."
So now I have to figure out how to get an expedited replacement order. I have sent an email to the specialty pharmacy. They don't do customer support by phone. They don't ship other than USPS.
::grump::
I have no idea if they will charge me again. If they do, I will be even more unhappy, but I can take the hit -- the cost is about the same as half a week's groceries.
It's not a disaster. I'm not entirely out of pills, and if I miss a day or two I won't keel over. But still, this is additional stress I do not need.
Ugggghhhh, dcp! I'm so sorry. What a pain.
I went and got about 6" or so of my hair chopped off yesterday. I told him just shoulder length, a bit longer in front, because I need to twist it up to swim or go outside in the wind. I loved the feel of it long on my back, but it was time to go. DH took a couple quick pics to send to my sisters, but I'll try and get a better one today.
Sent my birthday wishes to Allyson via the FB since I don't see her around these parts.
What a mess, dcp! I really hope you get it resolved quickly.
Oof, dcp. That's so stressful, I'm sorry. I hope you'll get the meds soon.
I still have a migraine hangover
I'm you today. At least I get to work from home, which is also excellent because this has been my day until now: [link] With the migraine hangover I'm pacing myself and had a nap between sirens.
Poking my head once more in between ongoing conversations I selfishly ignore, in order to reassure y'all that we're still as OK as possible under the circumstances (the ratio between the length time I actually get to teach on my Zoom lessons and the length of time we have to go each to their own safe space has never been more strange and unpredictable).
Take care, y'all.
Hi Nilly, always good to see you and hear you are as OK as possible!
My stupid lingering sinus ick has moved into my ears, or the one ear anyway. Ouch.
I have been on hold for about 4 hours total trying to find a new supplier for my medical supplies that I need to survive. After the first 2 hours and 5 minutes a recorded voice came on the line and said “good-bye” and disconnected me. I had a migraine when I started this process and I swear the hold music is just making it worse. I do not know whether to cry or scream or throw things at this point. I have about an hour and a half left before the company I’m calling is gone for the day.
