That article from Blair Braverman is the best thing I think she's ever written. I'm amazed NYT ran it.
It's so beautiful and poignant, isn't it? I texted it to sarameg this morning because it immediately reminded me of her.
I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.
