"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have cousins arriving this weekend, and it would be dandy if my place was clean, and yet.

I'm up for a round of Onerous Tasks Accountability if you want to play...

I need to:

Call Xfinity and have them reboot my WiFi.

Open all my tax mail and send off checks.

Clean the Guinea Pig cage.

If I do all three of those before Pilates I would rate a freakin' Gold Star.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Huh, the two Carl's Jrs that were convenient to me have closed. I know they are one of the more evil fast food chains, but I went to one of those closed locations because the regular worker I always saw was so very nice supporting her having a job seemed like a good tradeoff. I hope she got transferred somewhere or got a better job. Other than cashing in my free rewards I have no incentive to go there anymore, especially as they are all out of my way to get to.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So Barbetta is closing and its a place I always meant to go but never did. So I'm taking a shot at going. Wish me luck!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have braved the Xfinity phone tree, and they can't fix it remotely. So now I have a tech visit planned for tomorrow.

But I did The Thing.

Task #1: completed. (Problem, still not resolved yet.)

Going to attempt cleaning the pig cage next.

That will require administering Second Coffee.

Good luck, Trudy! 120 years, pretty good! Piemonte, I think that's where the branch of my family but is Italian but the names sound Austrian is from. Anyway, looking at the menu I'm guessing narrowing down what eat will be a challenge

BTW, it is a pretty nice day at this end of the bay as well. No blue skies, but excellent views of the bridges across the straits, and poppies blooming which always looks extra nice on overcast days

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have done the pig cage!

And I have sorted my mail, and I will open it before I go to Pilates and then I will deal with the actionable items. (Mostly making payments and cashing checks.)

Indeed. ⭐️

I called Spectrum and put my internet in NY on vacation mode, which should have been done several months ago, but apparently didn't happen. Super annoyed that I paid for internet on a place with no power for 4 months. I took it off autopay so at least I will know if I neglect to turn it off again.

Dusted, swept, and cleaned the floor in the hallway, which was in dire need. Also, cleaned the door jamb, which had accumulated many moons, or perhaps years, of handprints.

Still on today's list are dishes, kitty litter replacement, feeding animals, and taking Skinner to the dog park.

I also attended the condo board meeting and might take over the social committee responsibilities. Still mulling it, but told them I would consider it. They have been pushing me to do this for some time.
