It certainly seems to be so for my mother. Then again, at 86 and 5/6 it's not as if she has a lot of options for hanging out with people who aren't younger.
We did some of that hanging out tonight when I took her out for dinner at a local Greek place. My chicken souvlaki was really good, her Greek salad not so much. But I made up for it by stopping at another local Greek place to pick up baklava for dessert.
