Thrive to spite them

I know the things you love, my friends, and they abide with me.

That's really beautiful.

With my Jamaican coworker I think about ita which means I think about all of you. I watched video of this kick ass woman who is an expert at Silat and a few other martial arts.

So often now online in comments I practice what I learned from observing how Jacqueline interacted with people. And this past week or so at work.

It's snowing here ! I put up pictures on FB. Need to on Instagram.

I'm worried about my coworkers who are working. It's not getting too slushy on the roads but it's really coming down.

Mongo hates the cold and the snow. We got him outside and he ran back in. Even his beloved emoji squeaky toy wasn't enough to entice him. Thankfully we are stocked up on puppy pads.

Things that happened at work lately : last week until Friday people were confused why we were out of stuff . I wanted to wear a sign on my front and back that said "the ice storm. "

Some lady yesterday kept asking me if we had different types of bread even though I told her we only had what was on the shelves.

Some parents had their little toddler .he was so wee and tiny bit barefoot and walking on the floor. He had his sweatpants down to his ankles at one point. The mom got them back up and corralled over to her but he started to run off and he was going behind me and the cart I had. So I said something like "he's running behind me" and the Dad flipped out " we can see him. We are watching him. Watch yourself" and super defensive. I said I was sorry I was just trying to help. And he didn't like that.

I overheard someone saying they hate our store and hate shopping there. They didn't say it to me so I ignored it.

But last week I was helping one customer and one of the regulars was like "She is so helpful! She should get a raise!" And then she said she drives out of her way to shop at our store because we are so helpful and nice

I'm watching Matthew look at the window excited about the snow. And he put salt down so he is admiring how snow isn't staying on the porch and walk way. "Look at the little birdies ! Baby come look at the little birdies. There's like 6 of them just playing and looking for little nuts or seeds. Look at the cute little birdies in the leaves !"

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That's 'cause you're the keeper of the massive mental lists! It's your superpower!

(For some reason, most of my massive mental lists are devoted to who is allergic to what. I'd rather what people love stick in my brain than what will kill them if they eat it.)

I have done something to my right leg. It feels ok for the most part but when I bend or straighten my knee I get along the back and kind of side of my calf and behind my knee and it feels like it's going to lock up. And then when I put weight on it after that it hurts down my calf the front and back . And also the pain goes up the outside/front of my thigh

It's weird it just started happening yesterday. I tried a muscle relaxer and that helped a little. I also have put ice on it and I tried heat. Because last night all I could think of was heat. I don't remember stepping weird. I'm hoping the roads are bad tomorrow I can rest it more. I'm going to call the doctor on Mon if it's still bothering me Or I might try a telehealth appointment, I can do those free as part of my medical benefits. Although I'm not sure this is the best type of thing for telehealth

Also the City to Greenville is on FB basically begging people to stay off the roads things are so bad. At one point there were 8 accidents in about 45 mins. People think it's not ice so they can drive.

The latest post came after police were at the scene of an accident and a car driving on the road lost control and started spinning towards them and the other accident. Luckily the car stopped and no one was hurt.

A small town near here said their police weren't going to be responding to single car accidents with no injuries and to fill out a form. Due to the number of accidents and the horrible weather. The wind and snow were creating almost white out conditions in some places earlier.

Also they can't plow roads that fast. I'm leaning towards not going to work tomorrow or waiting and going later because I don't think the roads will be safe enough in the morning

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Could use some of that patented board good thoughts/vibes/stuff. My mom is at the hospital having tests. In the night she was feeling nauseated and dizzy, generally off in a big way. Thought maybe a stroke or heart attack. EKG is fine. Cat scan is next. No signs of stroke are apparent.

I showed a call from my dad, but no msg left and completely missed that my brother had called, so I got a text that started “Still awaiting tests to be done. EKG was done to rule out heart attack & other indications of a stroke.” I did not react well. My body needs less adrenaline.

Indeed

DH, along with his fellow colleagues are all alarmed by the latest from his school. The administration had to issue a statement that the school could not block ICE enforcement on school property. Understandably a large number of parents won’t let their children go to school now. It doesn’t matter if they are citizens or have other legal status. They won’t risk kids disappearing The level of fear and stress is crushing.
