this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I, for one, am wearing silver velvet leggings.

flea, that is very David Bowie of you.

None of my pants are velvet. I am failing at pants.

Those mini Sunsweets are dandy.

Trader Joe's prunes are great and they have the best price by a mile.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Today I taught my 6 year old about Ea-Nasir. As a bedtime story. So, there's that.

I love that for you (and your kiddo) Debet. Keep the lore going.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That's a quality 6 year old you got going there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well done, Debet! Don't want your kids getting scammed into substandard copper

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The lore continues.

I do not have any velvet pants, but I do have a velvet skirt and three velvet tops.

my new title weirds me out

My official title in my last job was IT analyst. At very few points did I ever analyze anything that could be considered IT. Job titles are weird.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I survived my pre-storm Wegman's trip, but just barely. I can't remember the last time I saw this kind of panic shopping but I did manage to get everything on my list.

Our wings are not tired.

After several days of further decline and copious testing the think they've figured out the primary problem and have started a course of treatment. Fingers crossed.

Sending ~ma that they have it figured out

IMHO wunderground.com and windy.com are two really useful weather sites. I like them better than TheWeatherChannel / weather.com

Agree completely, except when we are getting a hurricane, then our local Miami coverage is better than any of the national sources.

I hope all those in the path of the winter storms stay safe and warm. I am sitting here, sweating, after 45 minutes of swimming. WeatherUnderground says it is 84, feels like 89, but after the exertion, I beg to differ.

Been busy so I haven't been on my computer as much, which is a good thing.

My cold toes are envious! We're going to a jazz concert tonight at a venue that isn't a dedicated theater/concert hall/club; it's an old repurposed church that gets used for all kinds of stuff like health fairs, swap meets, and concerts. So they don't have a liquor license and don't bother with selling coffee/soda/water, but their events are all BYOB. I told Tim it's so cold (it'll be 10 degrees by concert time tonight) that we should take thermoses of hot chocolate.
