I still am suffering bronchitis. I did some digging in MyChart, because I’ve suffered this bronchitis thing at least once a year for the past few years, and mine and Mr. Loomy’s suspicions were correct: the clinic doctor I saw over the weekend, who was abrupt and didn’t listen to either of us, prescribed me less than half of the dosage of prednisone that I’ve had previously. No wonder I’m not getting better. So back to the clinic I go.
And yesterday was the last two of five MRIs. Now I wait for my doctor to give me information so I can call the back specialist.
If I’m going to be a sickly invalid, I want laudanum. And a trip to the seaside where someone will push me around in a fancy wheelchair. Then more laudanum.
My friend Jill actually has one of those old-school wicker wheelchairs. It would suit you--not that I'm recruiting.
Sorry, I need to get something off my chest:
Thirteen billion light-years away, there is an electron. Like all electrons, its mass is minuscule and its gravity undetectable by human senses. But across all that distance, it's pulling on you right now.
The interconnectedness of all things is not just a punchline.

Agreed. During the recent eye irritation month of annoyance I suggested repeatedly that what I really needed was sedation, but no one listened and kept giving eye drops and steroids instead. Boo.
Chrismg, I cannot disagree with that reality.

Which is precisely what someone recruiting would say.
I got an email survey from the ortho practice asking how my appointment was, so I told them how shitty the orthopedic surgeon was, but also how good the PA was. That was satisfying.
And the steroid shot into the hip joint does seem to be helping. Fingers crossed it lasts longer than a week.
my mom gets shots for her ankle arthritis. They do seem to help, but I'm not sure they are all night and day like the first one was.
Yay for feedback Teppy!
Also, my mother gets shots for the arthritis in her knee and says they do help some.
Good, Tep! Both for survey and the shot helping.
I don't think I'm going to be able to manage the crossword tournament BUT USRail passes are basically half off until Tuesday, so I think I am finally going to do my 30 days of riding trains vacation. The earliest my vacation time will have accrued enough for that is 4/18-5/20, which is too late for crosswords but might work for Jazzfest and who knows what else I can get to in that time? I am excited! If you have ideas for where/when to try to fit in let me know! I think I have to start traveling by 5/20 but in case I need to be done by then, it's possible, will figure that out after I have bought the pass...
