yeah...I find things she commented on all the time and end up thinking it through again. Not like her nearest and dearest, of course.

Timelies all!
Congrats shrift!
Mr. S is getting discharged from the RTC on Friday and I'm a bit nervous about it. Doesn't help that he had a major meltdown last night(We did a Saturday to Monday visit because there was a visit to a potential non-public school, and a visit to the new public school scheduled for today) which involved him pulling my hair and throwing things at me.
I somehow drifted away from checking here, too, so: Hello! I still have my one job.
Job having is good.
Sending good vibes to all of you, Sheryl.
I woke up with a tickle in my throat this morning, so I am trying to placebo my way out of an actual cold or whatever with Zicam and am also taking Mucinex to pre-game in case there is an onslaught on the way. Please send mind-over-matter vibes my way.
Sending the ain’t~nothin~ma, Jen.
I hope you find a good school option for Mr. S and that the transition home goes smoothly.
My eyes are still stupid. Moving to antihistamine drops now. Pinkeye resolved but they are still irritated. Really I think serious sedation is needed but will try more drops.
That's the pits, Laura! Wishing you continued healing.
I was waiting for the pharmacy to open at CVS this morning, and a woman in front of me said, "Hello!" as I was reading a texted question from my husband about the pick-up, so instead of responding to her greeting, I responded to my DH's question out loud with a "Yeah." And then it took me a couple of seconds to realize, so I explained to her what had just happened, because my response had sounded kinda rude if you didnt know it was a brain hiccup. Anyway, it was funny, but maybe you had to be there... I made up for it by being chattier with her than I normally am, because she was very chatty. So, karma rebalanced.
So, karma rebalanced.
I'm not sure you incurred a karmic debt with a slightly fumbled and distracted greeting.
EM was going to facetime me from Montana to go over paperwork and then cancelled it at the last minute this morning! Rude! Now I have to go through my tax stuff by myself.
I need to wake Matilda up but then I'll have to feed her and shit. And I'm clearly having some motivation issues.
On the plus side I got a new cardigan in the mail. So, cardigan rebalanced.
Okay, I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hips. From the reading I've been doing, it almost sounds like recovery from a total hip replacement is easier than recovery from repairing a torn labrum. I genuinely don't know which one to hope for. (Obviously I would prefer no surgery, but the MRI results make it pretty clear that there's a significant amount of damage to the cartilage, so there's going to have to be some sort of surgery.) My age and the amount of damage kind of point towards total hip replacement, so I'm preparing myself mentally for that. Although it's 2026 and apparently a lot of hip replacements are done on an outpatient basis, so it's not the complicated procedure it used to be. Living in the future is awesome!
Our health insurance is going to hate us so much. (I would feel worse about needing hip surgery if the cheap bastards covered Zepbound. But since they don't cover it and I pay out of pocket for it, they can kiss my ass [which is connected to my bad hip].)
I am very annoyed I was supposed to have a package delivered by USPS yesterday. And then suddenly it changed from “out for delivery” to “you need to come pick it up at the downtown office that is only open 9-4”. wtf.
The USPS is the WORST with packages. I hate them so much.
Getting a whole-ass hip replaced is outpatient?!? That's wild!
Having a four meeting day, not really here
