Pass the bubble wrap, please.

The good news: My family on the East coast sent me a Christmas present, and it was delivered today.
The bad news: UPS delivered it to the apartment building next door. Right apartment number, wrong building number.
The good news: When I got the delivery email, but found no package at my door, I correctly guessed what had happened, and was able to go get my package.
The bad news: While walking back to my apartment building, I tripped and fell on the sidewalk. I did not land well.
The good news: I did not break any bones. Although my glasses came off, I did not scratch or break them. Although my phone flew from my hoodie pocket and hit the sidewalk, it did not break. Although my wallet flew from my other hoodie pocket, I was able to find it not far away. I did not realize I had lost my shoe until I stood up, but it too wasn't far away. The package did not break open, and the contents were not damaged. I made it back to my apartment okay.

I have road rash on my left knee and right palm, a sore right hip, and a very sore heel of my left palm.

The scrapes have been cleaned up and bandaged. They sting. I have taken a painkiller. I have a lot of rest-ice-compression-elevation in my future.

Oh, my goodness, dcp! Bubble wrap indeed. I'm glad no bones or presents or equipment broke, but... ouch! Rest yourself!

Oh goodness, dcp. I hope you can rest up tomorrow and that the soreness doesn't last too long.

Healing~ma, dcp!

I went with my family to a lights thing at a nearby renfair. It was pretty, but the walkways were almost entirely solid ice. If they get through the weekend without a lawsuit, it’ll be a miracle. My sister and I split a pair of hiking sticks for balance and managed to stay upright. But it was hard to appreciate the lights when we were focused on finding good footing.

I'm back in "Stars Hollow" for another day. It's a Gilmore Girls overlay to part of the Warner Brothers Studio Tour that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks.

cute...I would probably go to that, ND. Last Christmas I gave Mom a "Luke's coffee shop" T-shirt that a Brit on etsy made up. She wears it a lot. Ow, dcp, but could be worse, I guess.

Slept okay last night.

Biggest complaint currently is coming from my left hand. I seem to have jammed it pretty hard. I think I caught myself on it exactly the way one is not supposed to. Didn't roll in time. I'm just glad I didn't break my wrist.

I am normally left-handed, so that's extra problematic. Heating pad is helping somewhat.

The really awkward part is that opening the bottle of painkillers requires two hands. That was not a fun task this morning, but I got it done.

In conclusion: ow.

It's a pretty cool thing for fans. Lot's of GG merchandise, lots of little interactive points and it's all the original sets and location that we have dressed up.
