That’s way too much, Plei. But I’m glad you got a little good news with the jewelry.
I discovered today that there’s an Excel World Championship, and it has a theme song. [link]
The job I interviewed for and that I was waiting to hear from turned me down. You know, I’ve gotten good-to-exceptional reviews, actively pursued professional development, and just freakin’ showed up every time, and I’m getting a bit tired of being blown off like some kind of loser while goddamn Pete Hegseth has a job.
This is no way to run a job market, Calli, that's for sure. I'm sorry you're in the mire.
Yeah, Hegseth grinds my gears too. Mostly that there is anyone who thinks he is a. normal or 2. harder-working than I.
So sorry your daughter isn't well, Plei. Hope something will start helping soon.
Oh, Plei. Too much. Sending so much love.
In other news, I’m having a colonoscopy in the morning and am wallowing in the misery of prep. I know it is so important, and I’m glad I’m doing it. Also, uggghhhhhhhh.
Good luck with the test, Pix.
ltc is home today with a fever and a cough. She is do upset to be missing school.
Just had mine yesterday, Pix, so I am with you in the unpleasantness of the preliminary steps. The procedure itself is a piece of cake in comparison though. May yours go smoothly and come back all clear.
Apparently I went into AFib while under sedation, so I get the fun follow-up Monday with my GP and probably a referral to a cardiologist. Rats, I thought my heart health was doing pretty well, so this is new and unwelcome information.
Aw, bummer, sj. Does this mean she misses her concert?
Happy scoping, Pix. Now that the yuck part is over, it's super easy, as I'm sure you know.
Having a holiday lunch with some friends today, so that'll be fun.
DH's back thing is acting up again, so he has an appt. for Monday at 7a, where I hope they can just do another ablation right away -- technically it's an eval, but last time they did the ablation immediately. Pain go away ~ma would be welcome!
And I sent out all my "required" holiday cards. I'm sure I'll add a few, but it still feels like an accomplishment.

Well, that's a bummer. Have you ever had Afib (that you know of) before? Sending good vibes.
ETA: Oh, you kind of already answered that it's new. My bad. Still sending good vibes.
That’s unnerving about the AFib, Matt. (Autocorrect tried to make AFib “aging” which ha ha ha we KNOW that, universe).
We got to Michigan yesterday and are having a lovely snowy morning. Much nicer than yesterday’s cold rain.
