So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

Thrive to spite them

I have tomorrow off and then the 23rd, so I'm working 6 days in a row which I hate but luckily it's not as bad as Thanksgiving. People aren't buying like crazy for Thanksgiving. Also I'll work Christmas Eve, have Christmas Day off, work Friday, have Saturday off. So it's not too bad.

I can't believe it's almost Christmas and the end of the year.

This year has been both impossibly long and impossibly short.

Anyway we have to do the majority of Christmas shopping tomorrow. I'm hoping it won't be as busy since it's a Tuesday and not a Saturday

Also Mom is coming down to take us to breakfast.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This year has been both impossibly long and impossibly short.

SO TRUE

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I found three more options for ltc today to replace yesterday’s three options. If she doesn’t like these, she’ll have to shop her closet again.

Maybe show her pictures of girls who made their dresses out of flour sacks in the depression?

Ozempic update: Semaglutides were no match for the power of pie, mashed potatoes and the damn box of See's candy sent to us. Backsliding occurred. The plan is to try to hold serve during the holidays but I'll have to do better than that.

Stitches Update: The stitches on my forehead have dissolved and the scabbing is done and it looks fine. I still have the steri-strips on my arm stitches and still trying to keep that from getting wet in the shower though it should be healed by now.

Matilda is off in Santa Cruz with her beau until the 18th, so I should do some wrapping while she's out of the house, and get some presents under the tree.

Things That Must Be Done Today:
Wrapping Presents
Clean Guinea Pig Cage
Vacuum
Wash Dishes
Do Laundry

So taskful! I also have Pilates this afternoon.

This year has been both impossibly long and impossibly short.

AHAHAHA. Yes.

Hope you are holding up ok, Plei

It's our office "Merry Mingle" office party this afternoon, apparently they are giving us beer and wine! That has never happened before, not during office hours. I think they served wine during one guy's retirement party but only to specific people. I imagine it is because we probably aren't having an offsite company party in January (we didn't this past January, we got mass layoffs instead, hopefully that will not recur)

Hec, if I do that she’ll decide she is a horrible person who everyone hates and cry for the rest of the night. Preteen hormones are not to be trifled with.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I came really late to caring about clothes. Which made my Endoraesque grandma despair of me in another direction , but I've upped my game a bit now. I thought it was, like, really quiet for the holidays on here, but I got logged out.(I was about an hour from climbing through the thread ceiling like Bender all "You didn't come here to hunt, did you?" and, also, yay for my huge list of passwords)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

This is why I have to track my food. That way I have a ballpark idea of where my intake is for most days. (On Thanksgiving I didn't bother to track what I ate, since it's one day and I was by god going to eat pie and then eat pie again watching football later that night.) But I also know some people don't track food because it makes them too obsessive and makes them feel like they're on the outskirts of eating disorder territory. My own personal brain is a little too lax to not track.

I increased my dose from 2.5 mg to 5.0 mg this week, and so far no bad GI side effects have happened, hooray! Still holding steady at 28 pounds down since May, 18 of which is since I started Zepbound in August.
