Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go Atropa!

I am expected to work while my phone taunts me with new Pluribus and new Heated Rivalry. Ridiculous.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh yes, I should get on with that. (I'm a beneficiary of the ceramics textbook my grandfather wrote.) Gotta get my three dollars or whatever's left for the class action claimants after the lawyers get theirs.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Usually lobster rolls are made with either mayo or melted butter, and it's pretty common for the mayo-based ones to have lemon and dill in the dressing, so I'd say that all works. (People often have strong opinions on whether butter or mayo is the proper way to make them.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Either option tastes great but I've not heard of combining mayo and butter on one roll before.

This was what I thought I had heard, so mixing them seemed like it might be controversial

Help I'm on a train headed into the city to see Tartuffe and I forgot about Santacon. I'm only at Irvington and the ratio of drunk idiot to regular passenger is alarmingly high and rising.

Oh, dear. Reminds me of being in the Philly train station on St. Patrick's Day some years ago. You have my sympathy.

I'm currently freezing in a Cheesecake Factory waiting for a friend for lunch. It's winter. Why cold air blowing? And there are ceiling vents every 4 ft., I swear. No escape. On the bright side, food and a friend. I'll take it.

I’m on a train on my way to a much smaller city where I am told there is a Santa Crawl but we think maybe not until later in the evening. I’m going for tea at the historical society, very different vibe

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sitting warm and cozy at home. I am forced to go to a different dog park for the next few months because my usual park is just jammed with events and has inadequate parking. Tennis championships, pickleball, soccer, and the Ice Arena, War Memorial Auditorium, and Parker Playhouse. Pretty much every day for the last couple of weeks, I get there and find people directing traffic to special parking sections. When I can't find a place to park, the dog gets very frustrated with me.

I absolutely love that there is so much happening in my city all the time, but it is at the cost of my practical needs at times. Fortunately, there are other dog parks.

Now I am debating cleaning some section of my terribly neglected condo, or going for a swim. I got my lab test report this morning and everything was just fine, except my cholesterol, which sucks, so changes have to happen. A summer of living in dairy country across the way from fresh farm eggs did not do my arteries any favors.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I’m sorry I haven’t been here in forever, but I wanted to let you know that Norah passed away earlier this week. Cody wanted you to know how important the Buffistas has been to her, and to him. There will be services after the holidays, but no date has been set yet.

Damn! JZ and I had a lovely brunch with Burrell and Cody when we visited in LA way back when. Jacqueline was always very sweet on their love story.

What heartbreaking news. Thanks for sharing, Polgara. Please give our love to Cody.
