Oh Nilly, I'm so sorry. Peace and strength to you and your family.
Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Condolences to Nilly.
Java, hello! Maybe next time I come to Hartford I can also see you!
I am so tired. I drove all day yesterday. Slept awfully last night (hotel was loud, dog kept being startled, etc). Drove a bunch of hours today and then got to see some old friends in Sacramento, briefly—I wish they were better at keeping up with people! And then drove some more. Tonight’s hotel is much nicer than last nights…except the wifi is not working and my cell signal is quite spotty. Booooo! Tomorrow, more driving. But then no driving for a month.
Java, hello! Maybe next time I come to Hartford I can also see you!
I’d like that!!
Safe travels the rest of your trip!
Fuck, ICE picked up one of my nephews former bandmates, who graduated this year, and his sister in MD last week and are holding them in NM, threatening to deport them next week. They picked them up when they reported to an INS office to file some required paperwork. Fucking disgusting. Contacting our senators and governor today to ask them to intervene.
Condolences, Nilly. May her memory be a blessing.
I'm so sorry, lisah. I hope you can get machinery in motion to get them released! So many stories like this, all terrible.
Jesus, lisah, I am so sorry. It's all so fucking wrong.
That’s infuriating, lisah.
I’m so sorry , Nilly.
I’m in the procedure room at UCSF where they just did an excision at my hairline and now I have pound sand for 90 minutes so they can biopsy it and make sure they got it all.
That’s the basal carcinoma. Then they excise the freckle sized melanoma on my forearm.
Happy December.
First snow of the season today. Very fine powder has been sifting down all morning, and has finally stopped. My ruler shows 55mm (a little over two inches) has accumulated on my balcony rail. It is still very gray out, not at all picturesque. Not much wind, so going out to the mailbox later will not be unpleasant.
The dark-eyed juncos are living up to their "snowbird" nickname. They, and a few blue jays, are keeping me entertained while I have lunch.
St. Louis got about three times as much snow a few days ago. I'm glad to have been spared that.
Dangit, they had to go back and take more (“a sliver at the top”).
Now I have to wait again for another lab.
Clear margins are important.
