Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration

Recursive! Phone-ception!
I am here to relay important news.
Last night I made the best hot chocolate I've had since I went to Paris in the 80s.
I started with Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate, then added chocolate sorbet to sweeten it. Nutmeg and Cinnamon, obviously. One shot of brandy. But the kicker, the dealmaker was a dropper full of Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters from Bittercube. (Which was not bitter at all, but sweet and cherry with vanilla.)
As I am fully addicted to chocolate covered cherries, imagine that in hot drink form with a bracing shot of brandy. Dang, it was good!
I sipped it with wonder and satisfaction while I finally got around to watching Arcane which was really really good and gorgeously animated.
Then I looked up League of Legends and realized I don't know shit about gaming culture and esports, because it is SO farking big.
Arcane which was really really good and gorgeously animated.
I WANTED to like it, but the plot was so sadistic I noped out after ep 3.
I am always happy to have a nice hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps but really my ideal drinking chocolate is as close as you can get to just a cup of melted dark chocolate and that is drinkable. Added spices, yes. Brandy and sorbet, though, I feel would just dilute without adding anything I want. But cherry bitters, that is intriguing!
When season one of Arcane came out we worked on an immersive experience based on the show out here in LA. It was pretty amazing. I still need to watch the second season.
And, unsurprisingly, I would now like some delicious hot chocolate.
But what I have is TJ's veggie lentil soup, which, while delicious and hot, does not achieve hot chocolate status. It really is good, though. I'd serve it to unsuspecting guests and claim it as my own if the situation ever arose where I'd need to.
I remeber once, at game night, my roommate and I decided on Stouffers lasagne as one of the offerings. I thought it was, you know, obviously Stouffers, but someone complimented me on it, and I think I must have looked like a deer caught in headlights--like, I was definitly not trying to pass it off as homemade, but then I felt slightly bad--like, you're worth a homemade lasagne! This just isn't one! It was funny.
