Our wings are not tired

I'm in tech until at least 10:30 tonight, and we have two big concerts on Saturday and Sunday, so it's been a lot of trying to get artists to give us tech riders and stop changing things while we can still get the backline subrented. I full expect to get more changes either tomorrow or Friday from their management.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I baked a pumpkin pie earlier, and then I walked up to the farmers market to buy fancy chocolate for my cousin's birthday (and the walk will have to count as today's exercise, but since it was 30 minutes round-trip, I think that's decent), and now I need to bake an apple crisp and remember to put the wine in the fridge.

Later I need to clear off the dining room table (which will require a leafblower and/or flamethrower) and then paint my nails.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Laura, that sounds so good!

I have to cut up some carrots and celery and make dip.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I finished the work I wanted to get done about 10 minutes ago, and I am not about to start anything else, so I need to kill 11 minutes, and then it is off to TJs bedlam for just one thing, and then home until Monday. YAY

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Coconut foam is in the fridge, wine is selected and bagged by the front door, I am technically done with holiday prep.

Of course, there's all the not holiday related stuff I have to do. In a bit.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So I was watching The Great British Bakeoff last night and they had this thing called Hot-Water Pastry Crust. I may try it today, and see if my pie comes out okay.

And now off to the vet. Poor puppy is still sick: I think she ate some of the mat on the front porch the other day. At least that's the only possibility I can think of...

Consuela, are you making a savory pie? For some reason, that's what I think hot water crust is for?

Finished my stupid work and will try not to think about it until Monday.
