Also, I love the Billfold and this article amused me because I was like "hey, I know that sister she keeps referencing!"
I'm actually in this dilemma, mostly out of laziness. We've been married over 2 years, and I go by Stephanie [birth name] [married name] professionally, but I haven't actually legally changed my name. I really ought to do it.
I'm not giving up my gmail address, though. (I also grabbed slbeckmeyer as a gmail address when we got engaged, though I don't use it.)
I am in Minneapolis. I just bought a salad and a hunk of smoked Gouda at a wine and cheese shop. My next flight should board soon.
Woot! I get to leave two hours early today and claim full hours! Yay, seniority!
I have thus far been lazy this morning. Some general straightening up. Packing up two ebay sales for mailing. Clearing some things off the TiVo. I have a lot I could do with the day, kinda of overwhelmed with options (which seems to happen a lot and often results in nothing getting done):
- list more things for sale (specifically any toys or potential gift items)
- start cooking my items for tomorrow
- call fence people since all other fence people have fallen through
- make dr appts.
ok, there are more, but just writing that out made it clear that I need to do the calls today since today is the only real work day of this week and those calls need to be made on a workday.
POSTING THINGS HELPS.
In theory I can shut down my computer at 3. In reality, my lunchtime banking and whatnot ran half an hour over, so I'll probably stick around a bit longer.
two fence companies called, messages left.
I hate making calls for myself. hate it.
ok, tv break, then dr appts.
I need to sand a wall and prime it, and wash another wall and prime it. I even have two children who might be old enough to help. The don' wanna is strong today, though. Maybe I'll have a cup of coffee.
Did I mention this is the dining room where I am hosting my in-laws tomorrow? I wanted to have it done by Thanksgiving, but that's not an option at this point.
That sounds pretty ambitious. Coffee sounds like a good call.
