When I was in high school, I helped out with the little kids' shows at the youth theatre group I was in, and I can't imagine keeping little kids on track for a three-hour show.
Apparently it was a cast of thousands rotating in and out. In this case, it was a cast of 9 playing a million parts, so there was a lot of pausing for costume changes.
What's hilarious is, my little cousin LOVES it, and has zero stage presence and doesn't seem to be enjoying herself on stage at all.
Oh, thank god, Vitter didn't win the Louisiana governor's race.
Wait, the DIAPER guy was a threat?? Dear lord.
In separate news, I am being driven utterly insane by the smoke alarms in my house. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
A friend is on his way and I am praying he will be able to stop the madness.
I'm hungry and everything hurts and I think there should be ice cream delivery.
Wait, the DIAPER guy was a threat?? Dear lord.
Up until a couple months ago he looked like an inevitable lock for the position. Craziness!
Pfft. They're stupid. I love hanging out with you.
They ARE stupid! I went to the event in question tonight and had a great time, and ignored all the poopheads.
Nora
totally
wins.
ETA: For those wondering, I did eventually make it to my mom’s house. Despite the fact that she kept trying to tell me not to come, I’m very glad I did. She is clearly exhausted and stressed, and she seems a bit less so now that I’m here.
Yay ignoring the poopheads! And yay getting to your mom's house finally and helping her out. And SUPER YAY to my friend who came over with all his tools (though he really only needed a screwdriver and his electrical tester thing to see if the power was on once we flipped some switches) and replaced all seven of my crazy beeping smoke detectors. WHEW! It was driving me nuts. Sadly I did not go to the dancing this evening like I was supposed to (he was here until about 8:30 and it's over at 10, and I'd have to change and stuff), but oh well. I guess it's incentive to go to bed early and get up for the 5K in the morning that I haven't registered for? (Not registering means there's more likelihood my alarm will go off and I'll say "naaaah, I don't need to RUN")
