"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

1) I just read two thousand natter posts.

2) and unrelatedly, you know that saying, "If you meet an asshole in the morning, you met an asshole. If you meet assholes all day long, you may be the asshole."? Does that also apply to people who piss me off? Or is maybe the whole internet particularly awful at the moment? Because every single person on the Internet* is pissing me off today, omg why so stupid, every person?

*present company excepted of course,y'all know you're not really the Internet for given values of Internet, someone wrong on the.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Huzzah! Welcome to Alexandra Dorothea Peanut.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yay! Happy Birthday, Alexandra!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It is indeed Alexandra Dorothea, but got Autocorrected in the text message with the first picture to Dorothy, and then spelled wrong by me.

Mom and Dad are ecstatic but exhausted, and hopefully asleep by now, and I am going to fall down in my own bed now.

Oh also. She was 21 inches, and shares her birthday with her maternal Grandmother

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Welcome Alexandra D! Rest and sleep to Mom and Dad, and also to Lee. Thank you for the notifying, Lee!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Last week, I noticed that a spider had built a web right next to our front doorstep. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a redback. They're not aggressive spiders, but right by the front door isn't entirely comfortable, so it is now an ex-spider.

Last night I noticed that there was now a web on the other side of the doorstep. A second redback. It may be about time to ge the house treated for spiders.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Very, very happy news indeed. Welcome, Alexandra Dorothea, and congrats to Juliana.
