High -fiber snacks - produce in general: celery, lettuce, most fruits I think..Prune juice is the classic, and it's high sugar, but he can dilute a quarter cup in a cup of water and it's more palatable and effective.

Wheat and rice bran sprinkled on tastier stuff, navy beans (well, some people like 'em), lentils, raspberries and blackberries, green peas and split pea soup, acorn squash, almonds, cauliflower, broccoli, dried figs, pears.

Soups and snacks fruits are good. He can't get up much. Rather, he can crutch fine, but is hurting bad enough now, with a ton of opioids in him, that he doesn't want to.

I don't have any advice on what to do about your dream job, Zen, or your present job for that matter, but it makes feel better to hear about a possibility, however currently impractible, that is so pleasant.

ION: stemless wine glasses, I think I am against. How did this become a trend and drinking wine out of tumblers did not?

Thinking about possibilities for the future makes things a little better, even if I feel like they're really only fantasies.

Last weekend at a new friends' house, they served wine in stemless wine glasses, and talked about how weird it was and that they'd got them on sale. They were fine, but basically, they're just tumblers. I don't get the big deal about what glass to drink wine out of. If Italians can drink wine out of a mug, so can I (and I frequently do). I also watered down a bitey Shiraz with spring water and made it palatable, so I'm a shameless barbarian.

I am good with stemless wine glasses. Also tumblers. But then I will drink wine out of most any glass including juice glasses and those cute French jelly jars.

How does he feel about a fiber supplement? There's one that's a powder that is supposed to be completely taste-free and you stir it into any liquid and it doesn't make it thick and gross. So he could stir it into his coffee or whatever he drinks.

Yeah, I dunno. I'll broach it with him. He can't exactly race to the bathroom, but he doesn't want to add more pain to the mix.

I would rather drink wine out of a jelly jar than a stemless wine glass. I'm happy to take the specialized Bordeaux glass if it's on offer, but I certainly don't feel the need to have them all available for home use, but the last couple of events I've been to that gave me souvenir wine glasses (I have a lot of souvenir wine glasses, it's kind of a geographical feature) have handed out stemless and I just don't get why they are a thing.

I think stemless are weird, too, plus there's too much surface area for your hand to make contact with, which can warm up your wine. I have no idea how they became a thing.
