That sucks, Jesse. I am glad that I ca mostly leave my work at work. Mostly.
I am having a morning. Couldn't find my work ID (that gets me into the building) or my car keys (used my spare), none of my clothes fit the weather or my body, my hair looks overdue for a cut (does hair grow faster in the fall?) and I've been at work for nearly an hour and haven't gotten my coffee yet because of urgent stuff that showed up in my inbox overnight. Bah.
But I have my schedule for the outlet sale - I'll be on the floor 12/3 (which is also the first day) 11-6 and 12/11 10-6 if anyone wants to trek out to Fairfield for kitchen stuff 30% off. There will be a coupon for ordering online, too (I assume, there always has been in the past) which I will post or put in my profile when it's available.
Couple of hours before the presentation I'm not ready for. Whee.
Remember, you didn't lose the money!
Ha! If anyone had lost the money, it most certainly would not have been me! I just would have had to eat shit on behalf of the people who did. BYGONES!
You can do it, -t!
I started eating candy too early, and am sort of regretting that I have now remembered the best of all candy bars -- Take 5! I forget about it for years at a time.
As to the Ohio Pot initiative. I suspect a lot of the "no" vote was based on the belief that as written in granted growing monopolies to a very small group. I don't know for sure if that argument is true; no report I saw contested the monopoly charge. Given the level of our press, that lack unfortunately proves little.
All I have is anecdotal evidence, but I heard a lot of people say they were opposed to it because of the monopoly factor. And there was another issue on the ballot specifically written to prevent monopolies, so if that issue passed AND the pot issue passed, then the pot issue would have been DOA.
As it turn out, the anti-monopoly issue did pass, but it didn't directly affect the pot issue anyway, since that issue didn't pass. (Too bad the the people behind the anti-monopoly issue didn't care enough to put it on the ballot before the casino issue passed.)
I am eating bright yellow in hopes that it will cheer me up and get me through today. Am also treating myself to Starbucks rather than eating free hotel breakfast. I don't think it'll work though.
Eta: eating?? No autocorrect--wearing!
I don't know why, but that made me laugh so hard! (And also reminded me of a sarameg thing?) I could use some yellow to eat today!
Wednesday, why you gotta act like Monday for -t? Get it together. You should be helping us slide into the weekend, and not giving us heartburn.
Matt, I'm jealous of the walk and the pie.
I made the BF take all of the leftover candy to work. I don't miss it if it's not in the house, but I will snack incessantly on it if it's here. So I did my part to support my local EMTs by enabling a sugar rush.
I would try eating bright yellow, it sounds like it might be effective! I don't know where I'd get some, though.
I had to look up Take 5 - it has pretzels? That sounds amazing. Huh, it's pretty recent, I didn't realize we were still getting new candy bars from Hershey's this century. I mean, of course we are, they aren't going to stop developing new products, but it still somehow surprises me.
That sounds like an excellent use of candy, Maria!
