I haven't been able to find any voter information for my area, so I assume I do not have an election today. Maybe I will swing by City Hall (also my polling place) on the way home to be sure...I can cast an uninformed vote for school board if that's what's on offer.
I don't know about this cleanse. I expected to like the Beet Kvass, because I like beets, but it tasted very raw. Perhaps I should just expect none of it to actually taste good.
Called the Department of Elections and I am registered to vote! So I will figure out how I'm voting in between meetings today.
My ballot was fairly simple, though it did include the question of what to do with all the "extra" marijuana tax money - give it to education or refunds back to marijuana stores and customers. It is more complex than that, but that is the basics.
One county over is a HUGE big deal school board recall vote. Jefferson County is a mess and our news is saying that "the nation is watching" this vote. This mess started a year ago when there were proposed changes to the AP US History courses and has evolved to include relevance of teachers unions, pay for performance and equal funding for charter schools.
I'm staring out the window as I wait for a customer's computer to finish a process, and I finally realize what I'm staring at is the sunlight on the small waves on the lake a few miles away.
Eye surgery is in the top three best things to ever happen to me. Maybe top 2.

I'm very grateful I have a bank of office windows that make the vision worth it--a 10-to-20-mile vista of mountains and lake and valley.
