"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The SO & I always cast votes that cancel each other out. But this round he's so disillusioned I don't think he's going to vote at all. Which means I win, hahahaha! Oh, wait...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Now I have to figure out if I should vote against Trump or for the Dem I actually like. It looks as if bot races are close in MO.

If the democratic race is close, I'd vote for that candidate. (I say, hypocritically, since it's not close in Ohio but I'm still not voting GOP.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We would all be better off if the current political actors learned the lessons of Guardians of the Galaxy.

I always feel like voting for who you like is better than voting against who you don't. Strategically, meh, strategic voting seems like a mug's game.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I get wanting to head off a Trump nomination at all costs, but at this point I'm leaning in the "Go on, give us all your disaffected moderate voters GOP! Mwah ha ha!" direction. My only worry is that the far Right extremists might come out from under their rocksof their bunkers/survivalist compounds and vote in unexpected numbers like what happened in 2004.

Man, I still feel pretty queasy. Maybe that wasn't just that I hadn't had breakfast.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Same.

Uh-oh, -t. Did I tell you guys that one of the kids in my cousin's play yesterday puked after the opening number? Not onstage, but still -- she had to leave, leaving quite a hole in the small cast! The show went on, though.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I found a bunch of John Oliver clips I hadn't seen, which is great, except for how it's supplementing my already overwhelming rage.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm following through on my promise and calling my doctor for an appointment about my sinus/dizziness issues. Their on-hold music is SO BAD. It's like the peppy getting-stuff-done! instrumental music from a 1980s instructional film.
