That is too bad, Dana. Also weird to set up an appointment for rejection. How about just a quick call or email?
I just received an email from tpain@work.edu. Her first name is Theodora!
Ah, shit, Dana. I'm sorry.
Her first name is Theodora!
Not anymore, it's not! She can only go by T-Pain now.
Dana, that blows. I'm sorry. Although this:

would be cool (for my selfish reasons).
She can only go by T-Pain now.
Ha! I was thinking that!

Ugh, Dana. I'm sorry. That really sucks.
That sucks, Dana! Maybe Cincy will come through.
My stomach is in knots. Ouch.
I'm sorry, Dana. I hate that they kept you waiting like that.
I am in a minority here, because after all the effort I put into interviewing, I appreciate a phone call if they are cutting me loose. (Interviews in my circle are usually 2 days long, and have a presentation involved, YInterviewMV. So I've spent a lot of time with the Committee members by then.) Even when I'm the hiring person, I feel better about making a phone call than just sending an email most of the time.
