I'm sorry, Dana. I hate that they kept you waiting like that.
I am in a minority here, because after all the effort I put into interviewing, I appreciate a phone call if they are cutting me loose. (Interviews in my circle are usually 2 days long, and have a presentation involved, YInterviewMV. So I've spent a lot of time with the Committee members by then.) Even when I'm the hiring person, I feel better about making a phone call than just sending an email most of the time.
Now I get to spend probably 2 hours with my coworker while she rewrites my stuff. Woo.
I think a phone call is OK, but it sounded like they made aphone call to make an appointment for a phone call? Maybe I misunderstood.
No, they emailed to make an appointment for the phone call.
And today, because I am sullen, I refuse to chase my coworker down for our regularly scheduled meeting. I have to do it every time we have a meeting, and I am not her secretary.
I'm sorry, Dana. It sucks, and I wish it would have been a different outcome.
I'm so sorry, Dana. That utterly sucks. More fools they.
I'm sorry, Dana.
ION, guess who's reinstalling Windows from scratch on his work computer for the second time in the last 10 days?
I'm sorry Dana. Fingers crossed extra hard for Cincinnati!
Calling to let him now is nice, not calling on Friday when they said they would and then emailing to make an appointment to call today is some bs.
There's a bill before our state legislature (or somewhere in the process, I don't know how all that works, I took Civics in Louisiana I don't think it transfers) to make California not observe DST any more. I am pro that bill. Even if it makes it harder to talk to people on the East Coast. But I don't think it will take effect on the next 4 days.
I'm sorry, Dana.
And then they posted and pulled them.
I'm pulling out a Christopher Moore line for this... heinous fuckery most fowl.
More in Illinois politics. Apparently the National Republican Senatorial Committee tweeted something about Tammy Duckworth "not standing up" for veterans. I can't imagine that was an unintentional choice of words.
