I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My dinner was the half of my salad that I didn't eat for lunch. Might be sufficient.

Took the dog for a walk after work because it was not raining, and let him set the pace and the route and we were out for over an hour. I should've seen that coming, I guess. I need to figure out how to teach myself to unlatch the backdoor when we are going for a walk, though. The habit of coming into the backyard through the gate at the end of the walk is pretty well ingrained, and it's a perfectly good habit, right up until I go to come inside and remember I have to go back around to the front. Of course, Walter can come in through his door, so he's no help.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ask her to rap!

Next time!

I had a spinach salad and some smoked salmon bruschetta things for dinner.

brillig

A tale of medical anecdata:

When I had my shoulder surgery many moons ago, the surgeon recommended glucosamine chondroitin, Osteo-Biflex by name. Later, his assistant scoffed and said it didn't do anything, but my joints, especially my knees, can tell the difference when I'm not taking it. The last time I ran out, I decided to try a somewhat cheaper brand, because Osteo is not cheap. Two weeks later, my knees are screaming at me, and it hurts to stand up. So I outraged my penny-pinching ancestors and bought Osteo tonight, even with over a hundred pills left over in the other bottle. If nothing else, maybe I can placebo my way to working knees again.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Chicago folks, do you have thoughts on States Attorney?

Not Alvarez is as far as I've gotten

Dag, Chicago! I had to share that story with Bob and he was familiar with the accused. A "piece of work."

To be fair, it's not Soto who is accused. And to be honest, whatever happened, the fact that he is thin skinned need to stop and raise a stink about the signs suggests to me he doesn't really have what it takes to play ball in this town.

Not that I'm voting for a white professional dude in this gentrifying neighborhood anytime soon.

Have a great trip, meara!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

{{{Gud}}}

Can I get some minor health~ma? I'm due for my annual mammogram first thing tomorrow, which is always especially nerve-wracking for me because in recent years my generalized health anxiety has narrowed down to focus almost exclusively on cancer. So I just want to get through the annual boob-smashing, and then not have my cell phone ring all day, since I know from prior experience that if you need to come in for more scans, they call you that day. (Happened with my first one back in 2012.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Not Alvarez is as far as I've gotten

Yeah, that's where I am.

And to be honest, whatever happened, the fact that he is thin skinned need to stop and raise a stink about the signs suggests to me he doesn't really have what it takes to play ball in this town.

I did just see him on the news. He didn't seek medical attention (or wash the blood off his face) until after he'd made his social media posts and done a couple of interviews. That theory that he stapled himself doesn't seem so far-fetched now.

Susan, may your boob smash be of no consequence.
