TJs had a new gluten-free cookie: the same base dough as chocolate chip cookies, but instead of chocolate chips, the cookies have caramelized ginger pieces. I have already tried them, and they are good. I also got these chocolate Easter egg dealies, but have not tried them yet: [link]

I went to TJs. So did everyone else. Sweet fancy Moses. I did not kill anyone, even though I forgot to take another dose of drugs before I left. And I missed the bus by about a minute in each direction. I bought a cheddar-gruyère because y'all were talking about cheese.

We had lunch with my mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, and then went to the market (not TJ's though a TJ's run will be in our future). Now we're attempting to make baby food in the beaba machine for the first time.

I finished everything I wanted to this weekend, and I got to spend a goodly amount of it outside in the early spring sunshine--not sure why I'm all grumpy now. Maybe dinner will help. Something involving cheese.

Balls, I over-rose my dough and my rolls collapsed and turned into little dense oatmeal pucks. Into the compost with them! I'm hoping to salvage the other half of the dough: I punched it down and reshaped it, and hopefully I can get a useful loaf out of it. Damn.

Watching so much GBBO isn't improving my baking, it's just making me more aware of my fuckups. ARgh.
