This made me snort. I ♡ -t
new idea/variant on Buffista Island. Buy a plot of land, build a bungalow court of mini houses. have a central library/social space.
I'm in. It'd be easier to get to than an island and less prone to typhoons. We can fence it with a traditional hedge of thorns. (Maybe that's just my ideal. I can compromise on shrubbery.)
I love the idea. Can we build it near a large park with paths for walks/runs/bike riding?
and I just don't have the spoons to be able to write it off
Ugh. I so get it. Sending you lots of love and support.
I took tonight off from stretch class because I just couldn't push myself to my max tonight on anything. But I've been grading and that has been useful so there's that at least.
I think the Tryptophan has been helping to at least keep me from wildly overreacting when I get stressed out, but it hasn't stopped me from stressing out. And I have been really tired in the afternoon but I don't know if that's due to the amino acid (I take it in the AM and the PM but not midday) or to my lack of meaningful downtime most days.
I usually get 100+ emails a day at work.
Today,I got 3.

I'm in for Tiny House living. Especially with communal space for books. And maybe craft supplies, too.

Like cohousing communities--some shared space, some private space!
I swear I am spending more money "preparing" for this trip (clothes, new backpack, doctor visit, etc) than I actually am spending on the trip. Ridiculous. Crossing my fingers the prescriptions I pick up tomorrow aren't heinously costly. I got two vaccinations today and OW--one in each arm, so now both arms hurt! Stupid typhoid. Stupid hepatitis. Don't wanna get you but OW.
I don't want a tiny house. I'll take a smallish bungalow, but climbing down a ladder from the loft bed to go pee in the middle of the night, DNW. I don't want huge, but I'd like to rearrange the furniture if the mood struck, and tiny houses have mostly built-ins.
Yeah, I've lived in 400 square feet before as an adult, and it's not fun.
Yeah, I love bungalows (and Buffista company), but any house I get will need to be adaptable to one-floor living for age-in-place purposes. I know my life's likely physical trajectory, and it doesn't involve stairs after 65 or so. Still, the cohousing idea is glorious. I have a friend in Durham doing that. Can we have gardens?
