Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband hasn't even read this email yet, but the job people say we should know by Friday.

AUGH. I hate waiting. I am tense and anticipatory and a little nauseous.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

AUGH WAITING COME ON JOB PEOPLE

I wonder if I can convince the SO that this box of Girl Scout Cookies from Gracie only came with one sleeve of Thin Mints? I think it's defective. Possibly the only solution to this is to eat the other sleeve of Thin Mints and pretend I only bought one box. But that would be contrary to my nature and he knows this. So, hmm...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

There are, for real, Thin Mints from last year in our freezer. (If I could eat them without dire consequences, they would not still be there, believe me.) I don't understand the man I married.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I need to set fire to today and dance on its ashes.

Uh oh... Who are we going after with pitchforks?

Job people, don't you know that Friday is a lifetime away? Let's pick up the pace a bit, eh?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Give him the one sleeve and then remind him that's it's good to share. And then stare at him plaintively with big eyes.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sparky, the Chapel Hill salon that I use to go to is Moshi Moshi. I think Amyth still does go there. They're lovely people who do good work. I just followed my favorite when she opened her own place (and I'm not sure the new place does much with kids).

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I bet the GOP candidates gave up on the Pot State before they even get there.

According to the HuffPost site I'm following, Colorado isn't endorsing a Republican candidate at all this year. All 37 delegates therefrom will be unpledged.

We can start with Microsoft and move on next to my IT dept.

Yeah, part of my nausea may be the election.

Ah, that explains it! Well, at least I dodged a bunch of commercials. One of Clinton's commercial has a voiceover by Morgan Freeman, and after a week of seeing it nonstop, I was yelling "SHUT UP MORGAN FREEMAN! Take your melodious voice and GO AWAY!" at the TV.
