The status is NOT quo.

ND and I stayed at the Library once many years ago. Such a cool hotel!

Riding through Haight-Ashbury (waved in your direction Hec and JZ! But it was a v quick trip) I wondered...hippies and hitchhiking and all that seems so insane to me. Like, who would do that? But then I wondered if in 30 years people will be like "omg in the day you got in an Uber with just any old driver???"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I wondered...hippies and hitchhiking and all that seems so insane to me.

Probably helps to remember that it wasn't just the counter culture that hitchhiked - it was common in lots of areas that weren't served by public transportation so large chunks of the populace did it as a matter of course. Jumping in the back of somebody's pick up truck on the way to town from your farm was the only way to get around.

Still, even then picking up a skeevy hitcher, or getting a ride from a creep was a well worn trope in crime stories.

You know what's weird about Super Tuesday in Colorado? Last week, we saw an endless revolving door of the same 2 Clinton and same 2 Sanders commercials -- and NONE for the GOP candidates. I'm pretty sure the Republicans caucus in Colorado today, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm kinda surprised I've only seen one political ad, considering that Virginia's primary is today. Not complaining, mind you...

brillig

I was startled to see so many ads when I was in Vegas. But then, no one really bothers to advertise for president in Utah.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I bet the GOP candidates gave up on the Pot State before they even get there. Here in Virginia, I've seen ads for the Dem candidates and for Rubio, but not Trump. Maybe I've just been lucky!

It seriously didn't even cross my mind until I got home that I was visiting the Pot State. Not that I partake, but still. Didn't even occur to me. But there weren't dispensaries every 10 feet, like there were in Mendocino. That was hilarious.

I need to set fire to today and dance on its ashes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Burrell: I sent my my sister's answer, name and contact info to you. Check your email.

Thank you Sparky, that's great!

LA has the most negligent dispensary laws ever. They seriously are on every street.
