Hotel Monaco in Midtown is good, with amazing views from the roof, and right in the shadow of the Empire State Building. The BF and I really enjoyed The Sanctuary, at 46th and 7th, but the rooms were small. Might not be good for a family.
I'm out of spoons. Too much going on with work, and not-great news from a major contract we won, so we're on damage control to eliminate most of the fallout.
I didn't meara properly, so much ~ma and love to everyone who needs it. sara and 'suela, be kind to yourselves especially.
I need a vacation desperately. Who's in for a long weekend somewhere?
I need a vacation desperately. Who's in for a long weekend somewhere?
If I hadn't just gotten back from Colorado (which wasn't a vacation by any means), I would be SO IN. But I'll have to vacation vicariously.
I am just flat-out EXHAUSTED. My brain (and/or body) got me through last week in Colorado so well. I didn't lose it emotionally, I didn't get sick (I get colds when I travel a LOT), I didn't get a migraine from the stress, and my back didn't even object to sleeping on a couch all week, which is fucking amazing.
But yesterday and today, I am so exhausted I feel like I could keep sleeping straight through until Saturday. And my head hurts (although our weather just made a BIG change, so that's at least part of the problem).
Plus, this coming Saturday is the memorial service here in Cincy for Tim's ex's daughter, so that's one more emotionally heavy thing coming our way. I am just DONE. So totally done.
The rest of the year had better be an endless parade of unicorns and puppies.
Unicorns and puppies to you, Steph. You totally deserve them.
Oh hell yes. I actually have a SW ticket I need to use.
All the puppies for Steph.
You can have mine, who is being annoyingly demanding while I lounge on the futon.
At least I'm catching up on some television...
Unicorns and puppies for Tep. Rainbows and kittens, too. I'm glad you were able to be there for your brother, and I hope that this weekend is as emotionally kind to you and Tim as possible.
Zen and brenda, let's touch base next week, once I'm through the RFP cycle from hell. We'll start making a plan.
Sounds like the only thing left is for the Nashville people to check husband's references.
I am excite, but I would like to get to the decision-making and action part.
