Owning your own business means crazy taxes. Ah well. Next year will be even more complicated because ND finally incorporated the company, so then we will have our own taxes and the corporation's taxes.

yes! OSCARS!
red carpet coverage starts NOW.
Neat, Suzi!
Dang, lisah, that is a lot of spinning!
Is that the camera you were taking a class to learn how to use, meara?
My taxes will probably be fairly easy once I make sure I have all the documents I need. That part takes some doing, though, and I have not been making it easy on myself this year. Usually I am more organized, at least with tax documents, but not right now, and I'm pretty sure there are a few that I can't get electronically. In fact there may be one that isn't available yet, although it may not actually apply to me. Not a high priority, yet.
I do now have coffee and food in me and have gotten in a walk with Walter, so he's happy and ready to nap and my muscles will hopefully be maybe less sore tomorrow than if I hadn't. I probably ate too much lunch, so now I'm going to digest for a bit before mowing the lawn because the grass and assorted weeds are way too tall.
Yes, but the class ended up being basically useless and a waste of money, which annoyed me.
I did our taxes last week, I think. And it was a bummer due to the marriage penalty. I love K enough that I lost $5000 of my return this year.
'suela, that cake looks great. I've been baking bread all weekend. I'm blaming GBBO.
That doesn't sound like enough days off a month, aurelia...
I don't disagree. I might get a break mid-April, but then I'll be slammed until War Paint opens in mid-July. And I'm going to have to handle some touchy personnel issues during that time.
I might make the dark-chocolate Guinness cake with Bailey's cream-cheese icing again this year.

Oh, totally.
The cake is done and frosted, complete with itty little cupcakes made with the excess batter. But I think I screwed it up a little bit: it said to put the cake into the fridge to chill before frosting, and I think I should have put plastic wrap on it, because when I took it out to frost, the edges were hard and dry. Ah, well, it's just for the family.
So where can I see the red carpet, if I don't have a television? Any ideas?
Wow, Saoirse Ronan looks amazing.
I just saw a fake ad for Turkish Airlines announcing new flights to Gotham City. Obviously, this is a tie-in for the movie, but I love that they had to put a disclaimer on it saying "This is not an actual destination that Turkish Airlines flies to."
