You all sound like you don't want America to be great again.

Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I've gotta do all the cleaning tomorrow. Ran out of will today. But I did decide I like people, for today.
Filling up my tank (and grumbling that it wouldn't let me buy a car wash) the guy filling up across from me asked me if I could smell him. I must've looked visibly startled and he suddenly looked horrified and started laughing "And this is why my wife tells me not to talk to strangers." He tells me he's a photographer and just came from a job for the city that had him down in a manhole taking pictures of a 200 year old terra cotta valve under under Howard street and is was feelthy and gross and he had a jumpsuit on but he's got a model shoot and doesn't think he has time to get home. I couldn't smell it on him. We talked about how cool it was to get access to stuff like that and the hidden guts of the city. And then he says "You've got a great smile. Glad I got to see it and not completely creep you out!" As I drove down Greenmount, saw him pulled over, photographing an interesting falling down house. And so I waved.
During my swim, a dad with his family came over to tell me We can't believe you've been swimming steadily this whole time, m e & the kids are really impressed and we just wanted to tell you that." And then as I was leaving, another couple of parents watching their kids swim stopped to ask me about my swimming and my lap counter. Mom was like "you made me wish I could get in the water and do that. Maybe next time. If I can make it a lap..."
So for now, I liked people.
I think that's proof that you make the world a better place just by your presence, sarameg
Aw, that's sweet. But it's their presence making the world better, reaching out to just be kind. They're my examples to follow.
There's only one person in my Facebook environment who supports Trump. But then, my Facebook friends are 99% Buffistas or Australians. (This guy's Australian, son of family friends, but grew up in Switzerland, and appears to have picked up some disappointing attitudes about immigration.)
There's another guy with whom I used to play D&D in Philly who keeps posting about gun rights. He's the only one I ever need to make an effort to ignore.
There's a boy at school with a crush on Franny who is a Trump supporter. Frances on the other hand is Hillary's gal all the way.
It's beginning to be spring in the West, which means--tumbleweeds! I took a tumbleweed to the driver's side of my car as I was driving along, which I managed to see out of the corner of my eye, so I wasn't completely taken by surprise. Fortunately there's not much to them, but the herds--flocks?--of them that are going to crowd the roads later can be a pain to get past/through.
Watching Austin City Limits with my brother and eating Thai food. His wife gets back tomorrow and I go home. I'm glad I came out here, but I can't wait to get home.
After the cleaning spree I treated myself to cheap-but-good sushi and am now watching a countdown of the NHL's greatest defensemen. (Spoiler alert: Bobby Orr will be #1. )
Hooray for wheelbarrows, flushed water heaters and 5ks! Did a 5k today myself, at the Rosie the Riveter Memorial. Nice route, beautiful day, now I am wiped out. I didn't get anything else done in a productivity sense, just lunch with my dad, some shopping that I didn't need to do but which was fun, and some hang time with mom (she has the same bug I had beginning of last week, I think, so she didn't go to the race). And now I'm watching TV. Tomorrow is another day.
I did ask my dad if he's going to vote in the Republican primary, he said maybe he'll write in Barry Goldwater. He's a lifelong registered Republican but ideologically he's probably more Green than anything else.
