And, yeah, I find myself a lot more seriously wishing I had some kind of personal exit strategy than I did even in the Bush years. I mean, it's just within the realm of possibility that Dylan could work overseas or in Canada--we have friends with various tech companies on long-term assignments in France and England, f'rex. Me, NSM. Unless I somehow become a wildly best-selling author, my professional skills are research administration within the American funding environment. But mostly we just make bleak jokes about the line at the Peace Arch border crossing extending all the way down I-5 into Seattle on election night if the worst comes to pass...

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oof. Still have headache from yesterday. Even after sleeping many hours. Hoping the latest dose of painkiller and coffee will make it go away. Please.
If only Trump were that easy to make go away...I think my crazy racist brother is a Trump fan, but I've already blocked him on Facebook before this election, because he was already nuts.
My best friend posts stuff supporting Trump to facebook all the time. But a job dealing with people at their worst in a majority black city has left him irrevocably racist and angry that he's not enjoying the benefits of white privilege people with jobs in predominantly white cities do, so Trump's propaganda is tailor-made to appeal to him.
I have enthusiastic Trump supporters among my FB fans. I won't bother to engage until after the primaries are over. They will likely end up blocking me this summer when it is ON. I do point out when any side posts all out lies, because I do appreciate it if I share something false and it is brought to my attention. But mostly just ignoring until it gets closer to showtime.
I have a wheelbarrow!
Did you want a wheelbarrow?
On the flip side (not of wheelbarrows!), my mother is finding that her church community just assumes everyone in their circle is for Bernie, which is not the case!
Yes! I've been wanting one for a while, but nsm to have to haul it in my car. But someone in the neighborhood was selling one for about half what they are new. So I walked over and bought it. No wrestling it into the car.
flushed water heater. messy, tiring, hopefully got enough scale and gunk out of it to stop the banging.
also did a 5K this morning.
I bought cat litter and soap, picked up cheese, fruit, and a wrap sandwich at the organic grocery, swept my living room, scrubbed my toilet and bathtub, scrubbed my stovetop, bathroom and kitchen countertops, and put a load in the dryer. Once I take the trash and cat poop out I am done being productive for the weekend.
