Sounds really intense, Liese, but also really rewarding.

Timelies all!
The little guy's got a bit of a fever, so I'm staying home with him today.
Sheryl, I hope little guy is feeling better soon. We're off to the pediatrician this morning for a regular check up for ltc.
People who don't go on Facebook often might want to go check out our vw's Facebook page today? Ijs.
So Dad ended up back in the ER on Tuesday, because he passed out twice that morning. So that was fun, although they couldn't find anything in particular wrong other than the presumed concussion from his fall on Monday. I'm so wiped out that last night all I did was eat Girl Scout cookies and watch 2 eps of Agent Carter.
This week is so fucking long.
Steph, I hope you & your brother are doing okay.
Ugh. Hope your Dad is okay, Consuela.
Well, now that the house is paid off, we bought a new (not just new to us, actually new) car for my wife. She's moving from a 1999 Nissan Sentra with a 160,000 miles to a 2015 Honda Civic with 24 miles. She is thrilled with it, more power, better fuel economy, bluetooth, USB, backup camera, all the usual power stuff that pretty much every car has now, and much less noisy. It was the last 2015 the dealership had and we got it for 16,000 which seems like a pretty solid price for a brand new Civic.
We're going to give the Nissan to a single mother who could really use a car to get back and forth to work. At the moment everything is working okay on it so it doesn't need any work before we give it over.
Oh, dear, Consuela. GSC and Agent Carter sounds like an appropriate Wednesday night plan. Health~ma his way.
And to Sheryl's little guy. And ltc, why not?
Go Liese! Good job figuring out what you can and cannot expect from your prof and whoever else is around. I'm glad you had sometime to yourself to get settled, I hope that reworking this morning with the in-car workshop fresh in your mind goes well!
Having a full cup of caffeinated coffee this morning - I usually do decaf or at least water down the caf, but not today. Fitbit says I got 8 hours of sleep last night, and it's probably true, but I could use more. After work I will go get my car smogged and I guess I better not plan anything for after that because I have not idea how long it will take, but it's time I can spend sitting and reading Bujold which is kinda what I want to be doing anyway.
Sending lots of strength and coping~ma your way, Consuela. Caring for parents is so hard.
Liese, that sounds like a very productive, beautiful set up for you. Wonderful! I love having the opportunity to really work on something creative.
And yay for the new car, Gud!
I also want to thank Zen and Steph for your advice. I have read up some more on it, and I think I will probably try out a low dose. Doses for insomnia are lower than for depression, I've noticed, so I'll probably start around there just to be cautious. And also because my body often responds to low doses when it comes to other medications.
My power came back on right away last night. Thank goodness because it turned on our super loud printer which would have scared he beeejezuz out of me if I'd been asleep.
I hope you are able to have some no trauma downtime this week, Consuela.
Go Liese! That sounds pretty awesome.
And go Gud! New car is great and giving to someone in need is even better.
I really don't wanna work all day. And then travel and not get home until 1am. Ugh.
