What msbell said. Many good thoughts and vibes out to all of you dealing with bad things.
Connie, I'm glad the ALF is there to watch over your dad.
I read this that Alf (the puppet) was watching over Connie's dad. I am not sure if Alf would be a good caretaker. Also, for some reason Alf alway reminded me of Ronald Reagan (I was 13 - 15 when it was on). I seriously thought that they were satirizing Ronald Reagan through Alf.
I can kind of see that. Based on stills, anyway. I never watched Alf, but I am having trouble imagining what satirical political subtext it might have had.
My brother has an appointment today with his therapist. I'm looking forward to the therapist's input on Jeff's attempt to taper off alcohol without going to the hospital.
Jeff is still sleeping right now, so I have blessed silence. My brother is one of my favorite people in the world, but I'm used to spending most of the day alone, so having someone there 24/7 is weird. (Even on the weekends, when Tim is around, he isn't a chatterbox. I've gotten used to Beckmeyer stoicism!)
I am drinking some seriously good coffee, though. Benefits of a SiL who's a coffee buyer.
Mmm, coffee. Hope the therapist appointment is helpful!
Best of luck today, Teppy! I hope the therapist can talk some sense into your brother.
Good luck today, Teppy! Hopefully incessant talking is a good sign.
He's awake and STILL TALKING.
I usually store my purse and lunch container on the spare chair in my office. When my coworker is coming in to meet, I clear off the chair. If she comes in and it turns out she needs to sit down, she just moves my purse and my lunch thing. Without asking. And puts them on the floor.
I realize this is not a big deal, but it really trips my no-touchy-my-stuff neurosis, and I find it kind of rude.
