That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Husband has a second phone interview with the Nashville people on Monday.

Woot! Fingers crossed, Dana!

Actual people already living in Nashville: I will come visit you this summer!

Hooray! Any idea when? We will probably be in Massachusetts for around 2-3 weeks in July.

I am on the struggle bus today. I still have two classes to teach after lunch, which is unfortunate since I'm kind of done working for the day already.

Same here, Pix. We had a rough night last night (older child pitched a royal fit at bedtime, screaming and crying until almost an hour past when she's usually asleep; husband had a bad day at work, got stuck in bad traffic on the way home, is coming down with a cold; baby was up from 10:30-midnight), so we all could have used a little more sleep this morning, but instead the eldest woke up at 5:45 and refused to go back to bed despite being super tired and whiny, then later pitched another royal fit over getting dressed for school; I lost my cool, yelled at her, and now feel terrible about how I handled things both last night and today. So, I haven't exactly been very focused on work today, between sleepiness and self-flagellation. Oy.

K-Bug and I have slept the majority of the day away. Thankfully work wasn't an issue, just handled a few things and then I'm turning in my timesheet. So nice to be feeling better.

Hooray! Any idea when?

I'm working a camp in Indiana for most of the summer, so I'm thinking about bookending that with Nashville. If so, it'd be the last week of May and/or the first week of August. Partially pending B.org adjacent J's tenant schedule.

Excellent! We'll be here for sure in May, and likely in August as well.

Be sure to give me a heads-up, I'd love to drive over for a mini f2f again.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Goddamnit, I really need to stay caught up in here. Every time I'm not, bad things happen.

{{{Drew}}} I wish I could say or offer something more.

Sara, I hope your aunt recovers as well as possible. Much travel~ma to your mom. (Side note: don't let me blather on about my trivial stuff when shit is going on with you. I feel like a tool.)

Glad everyone is ok, Suzi.

JZ, I hope you get some relief soon.

I gave up sugary sweets and fried foods for Lent. I'm doing better on the fried foods side than the sweets, though I have avoided candy in all forms. (Does a chocolate cupcake Luna bar or chocolate chip cookie dough LARA bar count as sweets? If they don't, I'm doing much better at avoiding sugar than I initially thought.)

brillig

And I'm in the Salt Lake City airport , waiting for the shuttle home . It's hard coming home to no one waiting for me . Maybe this will get easier with repetition .

Will do, Matt.

Yeah, that's tough, Connie.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Be sure to give me a heads-up, I'd love to drive over for a mini f2f again.

Me too!

I'm sorry, Connie. It does get easier, eventually.
