Also, in other other news, I saw a bit on one of the midday "news" shows talking about how collectible the brightly colored Pyrex mixing and serving dishes all our mothers had. "Go to the garage sales and flea markets! Someone's selling Grandma's old bowls, and this one is worth $200!"
Yeah, that's like my brother pointing out that the old Red Wing pottery crocks we use as garbage cans are actually worth like $500. Oops?

Oi, my poor kid just threw up Exorcist levels of stuff. Apparently one of the kids she played with a day or two ago had a 24 hour bug that the whole family got. My DH and I are in agreement that this is not something I need with incisions in my abdomen, but it may be unavoidable.
The dog, she is behaving perfectly. So that's something.

I seem to remember being told about the Pyrex mixing bowls before, or it coming up in conversation with my mother because she uses hers all the time and (at the time of the discussion, anyway) they had not appreciated enough to make replacing them worthwhile. Decade or two back, I'd guess.
