sj, I'd also be happy to talk with you about pumping. I've been pumping since day 1, and I'm just now getting into the swing of it.

Um, did you guys watching the Super Bowl elsewhere see an ad for Michael & sons featuring Mike Tyson? Or was it just local (it's a local plumbing/hvac company.)
I just attempted 20 minutes on each breast with an electric pump and only achieved a couple teaspoons.
I did not, sarameg. I I have not been paying that close attention but I think I probably would have noticed Mike Tyson.
I pumped for 6+ months and started the day after the kids were born. I'm not sure my experience is helpful though.

Did not see that. Didn't see the Scientology ad, either. It was pretty wacky.
I love that we're talking about pumping during the super bowl (which I am watching.) What worked for me - using an electric pump at work - was to get the pump started, and close my eyes and imagine the baby was actually nursing, and I would get letdown within a couple of minutes, and be done in about 15. I always had a really strong letdown, though. It helps to practice when you really need to nurse.
sj, although actual breastfeeding was easy, pumping was very difficult and time-consuming for me. Using, in fact, the same exact pump as flea.
It didn't help that I didn't have a new mother's room available when I went back to work, but even when I was pumping at home, it took me about 45 minutes to get much of anything.
Peyton Manning had reached a saturation level that tipped me into exasperation years before I found out about him sexually harassing that trainer. So I'm in theory rooting for the Panthers.
sarameg, that Mike Tyson ad played in NC too. So weird.
