I'm so sorry, Kate.
And poor Matilda, but I'm glad it was diagnosed and you have drugs for her.
, god forbid I should die early, NO ONE is allowed to sit around and talk about my magical ladyparts
HOLY CRAP NO. Just a world of no. If we could do images here, this would be where the octopus NOPING away would go.
Finished cleaning out Dad's old apartment today & gave back the keys. He's apparently well-settled into memory care, and the staff say he's actually been participating in activities! I suspect this is because his cable STILL ISN'T WORKING. Please to send your curses to Comcast, who swore the line was live on Sunday but still haven't sent a technician out. So he has neither cable nor phone at the moment, and I'm so pissed off.
I have some sort of weird stomach thing going on, so my last two days have been very low calorie, with no breakfast, a smallish lunch, and then no dinner other than a hot toddy. Not exactly physician-recommended meals, but whatever works. Otherwise I wake up at 2AM with stomach pain, and that's no good...

I thought that was a line even my boundary-less friends wouldn't cross, but...apparently not. Damn, people.
Suela, no getting what Rachel has with the not eating and the stomach pain!!
Kate that sucks. Stage 4 is just shitty for anything but ick.
Ugh. Kate, I'm sorry about your friend.
Poor Matilda.... pneumonia is the worst.
I got a message from a mom of one of the scouts in my troop. She's been home sick all week, but they received a notice that someone in her class had whooping cough. This is a kid in the class Grace just left. THANK GOD.

Yikes, no fear. Nah, I suspect it's gastroenteritis from over-indulging over the last few weeks. Every once in a while I just eat too much, and then my stomach punishes me for a while.
Foo, my flowers are wilting.
Ugh I'm sorry Steph, it's been a crappy 2016. On the other hand, you are doing an incredible job of keeping your sense of the ridiculous through all of this.

That's because the universe is doing its best to keep throwing the ridiculous at me. It's almost comical.
I'm so sorry, Kate.
That was stressful running out to grab Matilda and rush via cab to catch a last chance appointment today. But it was worth it.
She'd lost 3 pounds in a week! She didn't have that much to spare on her skinny frame (she went from 59 to 56) but eating has been hard with all the coughing. They put her on an oxygen mask with albuterol and some other meds for about ten minutes. That helped. Now she's on the strong meds which aren't sitting well in her stomach.
She's been a good trooper but it's been such a drain on everybody, especially earlier last week when she was coughing ALL NIGHT LONG. And I mean unceasingly no matter what the medicine. Even with better cough medicine we were getting woken up about 4-6 times a night. Like having a newborn again.
Hope this is a quick fix and relief.
I just have to note that I don't want anyone talking about my ladyparts in a social group ever. (I was going to say any group at all, but god forbid I have a serious medical issue, the team there can discuss them.)
Must stop having an argument about the "Dark" Ages on Facebook. Have to go to work.
