Okay, he has an abscess next to the site of the root canal that was done Friday. They're taking care of that, and then sealing the root canal tooth (because the dentist who did it on Friday didn't do the whole thing at once; I'm not sure why).
That should definitely take care of the pain and swelling. But I think I'm going to need to run to the grocery store for mashed taters and tube yogurt for him for a few days.
TJs has good frozen mashed potatoes. I ate them a lot when I had my root canal.
Poor Tim, that sounds painful. Good thing he has you to take care of him.
shrift, I applaud your ability to keep yourself so well fed given you crazy work schedule.
A lot of the time, I'm just tossing a bunch of stuff in a slow cooker and then collapsing on the couch to watch TV while it cooks.
That was my yesterday although we ate almost all of it, and so it's also my today only today I'm making mushroom/veggie broth so I can add the last of the pot roast and some barley to it. Nom. But I doubt it will be done in time for tonight's dinner so we may be stuck with take out.
I just made four salads to bring for lunch this week, as I low-carb. I'm already scared it's not enough food, but I also threw in a thing of almonds into the bag.
What's the difference in price between Soylent and Ensure or other meal replacement shakes you can get at the grocery store?
DISRUPTION.
The recipes are all pretty simple to make, inexpensive, and delicious. Except the turnips and barley, we didn't care for that one.
Oh god, I hated those turnips and barley! I also bought a frozen salmon fillet, thinking about that recipe.
DISRUPTION.
HAHAHAHAHA
Poor Tim, but that doesn't sound as bad as it might have been! Glad y'all were able to find a dental office t take care of it today!
I am hoping to make a bunch of soup today but first I need a quick lunch because I forgot to eat at lunch time and now I'm starving. I actually bought chicken parts to make into soup which feels very weird but that seems to be what I need to do today.

Thanks, Burrell. Although I'll point out that leftovers do last a lot longer when you only have to feed yourself.
Laundry is in the wash. Beets are roasting the oven. I think it's time to retire to the couch and watch Agent Carter.
Oh, I meant to say, I think soylent is vegan? I'm not sure about that, but I think I remember reading that it was, at least, not milk-based a so many meal replacement shakes seem to be.
I think the original version used a protein derived from brown rice? Something like that
I think I could have handled the turnips or the barley, but not together.
I love lots of the other recipes, though. And some of them are super easy to keep the stuff to do them on-hand, even if I'm not actively using the menu.
