Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

It is stupid cold in my office. It's not raining on the inside of the windows like last winter, but I think that's only because it is too dry...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not sure what to make of it cropping up in both books. It feels a bit Japan-in-the-Eighties, which isn't entirely comfortable.

Yeah, I don't know what the word is -- the opposite of jingoistic? -- but there's definitely something there.

It always amazes me that elites don't seem to realize that they drink the same water and breathe the same air as we plebians.

Buffista Island!

Is... that still going to be there in 30 or 40 years? It looks really small, and really close to current sea level...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I finally was able to get ltc to take a nearly hour long nap in crib after checking on her 8 times and flipping her back onto her back each time to try to convince her it was not tummy time. This might be my new exercise program.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Matt, that was the first thing I thought too.

Maybe we should invest in Buffista Peninsula instead, and wait for the waters to rise.
